- What are RevPoints?
- RevPoints are Revolut's loyalty points. You collect them on card spending and through promotions, and your balance is shown in the RevPoints section of the Revolut app. They are a rewards balance, not money in your account, so they can only be used on the redemptions Revolut offers.
- How do I earn RevPoints?
- Earning depends on your Revolut plan, the type of payment and whatever promotions are running at the time. Revolut sets and changes those rates, so the app is the only reliable place to check what you currently earn.
- Where do I find my RevPoints balance?
- Open the Revolut app and go to the RevPoints or Rewards section. The total shown there is the number to enter when you check a cash-out, because it decides which gift-card combination is possible.
- Do RevPoints expire?
- Expiry, plan changes and catalogue availability are all controlled by Revolut and can change. Check the RevPoints terms shown in your Revolut app for the rules that apply to your account.
- What can I spend RevPoints on?
- Inside Revolut, points are normally used for travel bookings, subscriptions and digital gift cards. Gift cards are the part that matters for cash, because they have a published points price and a fixed face value.
- How much is one RevPoint worth?
- In the gift-card catalogue we support, 1,400 points buys a 10 euro or 10 pound card. That is roughly 0.71 cents or pence of gift-card value per point. Cash is worth less than face value because the card has to be resold, and the exact cash figure is shown on the RevPoints value page.
- Which redemption gives the best value?
- For cash, compare points cost against the cash you receive and pick the lowest points-per-unit row. If you were going to buy something in the Apple, PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo ecosystem anyway, spending the card yourself is worth more than cashing it out, because you keep the full face value.
- Are RevPoints worth it?
- They are worth using rather than leaving idle, but they are not a large discount. Treat them as a small rebate on spending you were doing anyway. The honest comparison is gift-card value per point against what the same points give you in travel or in cash.
- Can the rate change after I start?
- The points price is set by Revolut and cash rates depend on resale conditions, so published figures can change. Your own payout is locked to your cash-out at the moment you create it, so a later change cannot reduce what you were quoted.
- Can RevPoints be converted to cash?
- Not directly. Revolut has no withdraw button for points. Converting them to money always means turning them into something with resale value first, and in practice that means digital gift cards, which is the route RevCash handles.
- Why does cashing out go through gift cards?
- Gift cards are the only redemption with a fixed points price and a fixed face value, which makes a predictable cash offer possible. Travel redemptions vary too much in value and cannot be resold.
- Can I transfer RevPoints to my Revolut balance?
- No. Points cannot be moved into your account balance. Money reaches your account only as a payment, which is what RevCash sends to your RevTag after your cards are verified.
- Can I sell RevPoints directly to someone?
- There is no legitimate way to transfer the points themselves, so anyone offering to buy your points account or login is a risk you should avoid. What can change hands is a gift card you redeemed yourself.
- Is there a minimum?
- Yes. Each market has a minimum payout, and you need enough points for at least one supported gift card. The calculator tells you straight away if your balance is below the minimum.
- Which gift cards does RevCash accept?
- Apple, Nintendo, PlayStation Network and Xbox digital cards, in the denominations listed on the supported gift cards page, for euro countries and the UK. Cards outside that list cannot be accepted even if they appear in the Revolut catalogue.
- Can I redeem cards before checking my payout?
- Please do not. The cash-out tells you exactly which cards to redeem for your balance. A card redeemed in advance may be a denomination or brand we cannot accept, and points spent in Revolut cannot be reversed.
- Do you accept physical gift cards?
- No. Only digital cards redeemed with RevPoints in your own Revolut account, submitted as a code plus a screenshot of the redemption.
- What if a card is partly used?
- It is rejected. Cards must be unused and issued to you. The code is checked against previous submissions, so a code that has already been sent in cannot be reused.
- Does my region matter?
- Yes. Points prices, available brands and currency differ between euro countries and the UK, and a card issued for one region cannot be treated as another. Pick your region before you redeem anything.
- How long does a cash-out take?
- Your part takes a few minutes: check the payout, redeem the cards, upload one screenshot and code per card, confirm your RevTag. After that each card is checked by a person, so the review is not instant and the status page shows the real state at every point.
- What do I need before I start?
- Your points balance from the Revolut app, your RevTag, and an email address you can open straight away, because the status link and any verification code are sent there.
- What happens to points I cannot use?
- Leftover points stay in your Revolut account. The calculator shows how many points the recommended cards use and how many remain, so nothing is spent that you did not agree to.
- What if I close the page halfway through?
- The cash-out is stored, not held in your browser. Open the private status link from your email and you continue exactly where you stopped.
- Do I need to create an account with RevCash?
- No password signup. You give an email address, and your cash-out is reached through the private link sent to it.
- How is the money paid to me?
- As a payment to the RevTag you confirmed, so it lands in your Revolut account. Nothing else about your Revolut account is needed or used.
- When is the payout released?
- Only after your cards pass review. The status page moves to approved, then payout processing, then paid, and it never shows a state the system has not actually reached.
- Are there fees?
- There is no separate fee. The difference between the card's face value and your cash figure is how the service is funded, and you see the exact cash amount before you redeem anything.
- What if I entered the wrong RevTag?
- You confirm your RevTag on a review screen before submitting, and you can edit it there. If you spot a mistake afterwards, contact support with your reference before the payout is sent.
- Do I owe tax on the payout?
- That depends on where you live and your own circumstances, and we cannot give tax advice. If you are unsure, check with your local tax authority or an adviser.
- Is RevCash part of Revolut?
- No. RevCash is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Revolut. RevPoints and Revolut are trademarks of their respective owners.
- What will RevCash never ask for?
- Your Revolut password, PIN, passcode or one-time codes, access to your account or transactions, and no card or bank credentials. The only account detail needed is your RevTag, the same identifier you would share with a friend to receive money.
- How are my codes and screenshots stored?
- Codes are encrypted before storage and are never shown back to you. Screenshots go into private storage that is not publicly reachable, and reviewer access is logged.
- Can someone else open my status link?
- The reference alone is not enough. The link carries a long random token, and after 20 minutes or from a new device or network it asks for a four-digit code sent to your email address before it opens.
- Why was my card rejected?
- Usually a cropped or unreadable screenshot, or a code that has already been used. Your status page shows the reason for each individual card, so you know which one to resubmit.
- My quote expired before I submitted. Are my points lost?
- No. Contact support with your reference and the cash-out is re-quoted on current figures rather than cancelled. Cards you already redeemed stay valid.
- My screenshot will not upload.
- Use a normal image file such as PNG or JPEG, taken as a screenshot rather than a photo of a screen, and keep it under the size limit shown on the upload step. If it still fails, retry on a stable connection and then contact support with your reference.
- I did not get the email.
- Check spam and promotions first, then request the code again from the status page. Emails come from no-reply@notify.rev-cash.xyz.
- The payout failed. What now?
- A failed payout stays visible on your status page and the amount is not lost. Support checks the RevTag and retries, and nothing is marked paid until the payment is confirmed.
Still deciding?
If you want the numbers rather than the explanation, the RevPoints value page lists every supported gift card with its points price and the cash you receive, straight from the live configuration. The step-by-step guide walks through the whole cash-out, and is RevCash safe covers independence, storage and what we never ask for.
