RevCash

Can RevPoints be converted to cash?

Not directly inside Revolut — there is no withdraw button for points. But there is a route that ends with money in your account, and it is worth understanding exactly how it works before you redeem anything.

The short answer

Revolut lets you spend RevPoints on travel, subscriptions and gift cards. It does not let you withdraw them as money. So converting points to cash always means turning them into something with a resale value first — and in practice that means digital gift cards.

Why gift cards are the practical route

Gift cards in the RevPoints catalogue have a fixed points price and a fixed face value. That makes them the only redemption where the value per point is predictable, which in turn makes a cash offer possible. Travel redemptions vary too much and cannot be resold.

How the RevCash route works

  1. You enter your points balance and region, and see which cards to redeem and what cash you will receive.
  2. You create the cash-out. The payout figure is locked at that moment, so a later rate change cannot reduce it.
  3. You redeem the recommended cards in Revolut and submit each code with a screenshot.
  4. Each card is reviewed by a person. When the cards pass, the payout is sent to your RevTag.

What to be careful about

  • Do not redeem cards in advance. Follow the recommendation, otherwise a card may not be one we can accept.
  • Only submit unused cards issued to you. Used or duplicate codes are rejected.
  • Never share your Revolut password or login with anyone, including us. We only need your RevTag.

Is this the best value?

Cash is worth less than face value, because the card has to be resold. If you were going to buy something in the Apple, PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo ecosystem anyway, spending the card yourself is worth more than cashing it out. Cash makes sense when you want money you can spend anywhere.

RevCash is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Revolut.

Common questions

Can RevPoints be converted to cash?
Not directly. Revolut has no withdraw button for points. Converting them to money always means turning them into something with resale value first, and in practice that means digital gift cards, which is the route RevCash handles.
Why does cashing out go through gift cards?
Gift cards are the only redemption with a fixed points price and a fixed face value, which makes a predictable cash offer possible. Travel redemptions vary too much in value and cannot be resold.
Can I transfer RevPoints to my Revolut balance?
No. Points cannot be moved into your account balance. Money reaches your account only as a payment, which is what RevCash sends to your RevTag after your cards are verified.
Can I sell RevPoints directly to someone?
There is no legitimate way to transfer the points themselves, so anyone offering to buy your points account or login is a risk you should avoid. What can change hands is a gift card you redeemed yourself.
Is there a minimum?
Yes. Each market has a minimum payout, and you need enough points for at least one supported gift card. The calculator tells you straight away if your balance is below the minimum.
